Darrin Mollett - Co-Owner/Barn Manager
Darrin has competed in the sport of eventing on both coasts for over 15 years. Darrin has ridden through the advanced level and obtained top level finishes at multiple one- and two-star events on multiple horses.
Although initially devoted exclusively to eventing, Darrin added polo, fox-hunting, and show-jumping to her resume over the past several years.
Understanding first-hand the challenges of riding while working inside and outside the home, Darrin brings a customized approach to her boarding services, working with each individual client’s schedule and needs to support their training goals and care for their horses.
Bill Ballhaus - Co-Owner
After supporting his wife Darrin ringside for years, Bill bravely hopped in the saddle in 2011 for the first time by joining Darrin on the polo field. Now an avid polo player, Bill plays year round in tournaments and exhibition matches in Argentina, New York, Los Angeles, Aiken and Wellington.
Caroline Adams- Trainer
Caroline Adams is amrider and trainer who has worked with Chuck Keller, Bill Moroney and Joe Fargis. She and her clients regularly compete at top events including the Winter Equestrian Festival. Kentucky Horse Shows, Vermont Horse Shows, Upperville and Tryon.
Caroline is known for her ability to find and develop horses for juniors, amateurs and professionals. While she enjoys her time in the show ring, it is most rewarding to bring along young horses and ambitious riders and to watch them progress along the way.
Caroline offers training for both horse and rider starting from the very first ride – for horse or rider - through competing on the national circuit.
Kristin Campbell - Trainer
Kristin Campbell has been a professional trainer and rider for 15 years. She joined the Beverly team three years ago as the coach of the Wakefield Equestrian Team, helping athletes qualify for regional, zone and national finals.
During her junior years, Kristin worked for Laura Hennessey showing ponies for clients of Irish Eyes Stables. After turning professional, Kristin began her career at a show barn in Great Falls, Virginia, where she helped build their budding local program into a top-quality premier show program. Her clients went on to earn top honors locally and at some of the best regional horse shows and medal finals, including HITS Culpeper, Upperville, Loudoun Benefit, USEF Pony Finals and Indoors. Kristin is also a VHSA approved judge, which sharpens her eye to detail when preparing her own students for the show ring.
Kristin continued to have success at the best events in the country when she started her own business before joining the team at Beverly. She works closely with her clients to develop a program that they enjoy and are involved with, using patience and listening as the cornerstone of her methodology. Kristin enjoys being a part of all of her clients’ accomplishments as they aim for the top level of the sport.
Laura Hennessey - Trainer
Laura Hennessey has been riding her entire life and joined the team at Beverly as a trainer in the fall of 2016. She grew up riding hunters and jumpers with trainers such as Delmar Twyman, Chuck Keller and Bill Moroney.
Laura attended Wilson College where she was part of the IHSA team and later went on to get her masters degree at George Mason University. She worked as learning specialist for Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools for 10 years. Laura eventually became a full-time trainer, combining her passion for horses with teaching. Her riders have competed at Harrisburg and Washington, and she has coached numerous USEF and USHJA Zone Champions.
Laura is a patient trainer who enjoys seeing horses and riders be successful both in and out of the show ring. She understands the work ethic required to succeed at the top of the sport and works closely with her students to help them achieve their goals.
Allison Springer Eventing
Allison Springer represents the best of America’s growing equestrian talent. A consummate athlete and compassionate rider, Allison is one of eventing’s brightest young stars. Allison’s classic position and strong fundamentals highlight her talent, poise, and partnership with the horse.
Allison was named as an alternate to the USET Eventing Team for the London Games in 2012, following a second place finish at the Rolex CCI4*. She went on to a 6th place finish at Burghley CCI4*. Allison has been named to the United States Equestrian Team’s Training List, a proven training ground for national team riders, multiple times on multiple horses and most recently finished 3rd in the HSBC FEI Classics Series for 2012 (the highest placing ever by an American).
Allison is a widely sought after coach and clinician for a variety of disciplines. She clinics for hunter/jumper barns and teaches dressage, as her classical style and keen training eye serve riders across the board, from the beginner to the most accomplished in their chosen sport.

Aguilar Multi-Services - Barn Manager/Grooms
Efrain Aguilar is the owner and manager of Aguilar Multi-Services, which manages all aspects of the Beverly Equestrian operation. Efrain's grooms live on-premises and are hyper-viligant about the care of Beverly's horses. Efrain and his grooms travel to shows, polo matches, as well as to Aiken, SC, Ocala and Wellington, FL. Efrain's grooms are trained and capable of handling all aspects of grooming, polo, and showing, including clipping, braiding, tacking, minor therapies, turn in/turn out, blanketing, and feeding and supplement management.
Loralyn First - Office Manager
Loralyn joined Beverly Equestiran as its office manager this year. As a master of organization, Loralyn ensures that everything runs smoothly in the office, responding promptly to client needs, keeping all paperwork in order and stocking the refrigerator and pantry with tasty treats and beverages!
David McClung - Farm Manager
A lifelong resident of Fauquier County, Dave has an intimate understanding of the area. Dave brings this knowledge to Beverly, where he has expertly shaped the farm, including revitalizing its fields, designing paddocks, and managing its day-to-day operations.
