Inaugural Tailgate Contest This Sunday at the Finals of the Beverly Invitational

1. Eligibility: Contestants must register in ADVANCE.


→ To enter the groom's race, text Tolito (561) 914-6324 (It's $50 per team to enter, the winner takes all!) 

→ Comment or DM us to register for the Beverly Polo Tailgate Contest and repost this on Instagram to spread the word! We’ll be posting more details and inspiration this week.


- Participants must adhere to the event's safety and conduct guidelines.


2. Categories


Tailgates will be judged in the following categories:


a.       Best Overall Tailgate

b.       Most Creative

c.       Best Polo Spirit


3. Judging Criteria


Each category will be judged based on the following criteria:


a.       Best Overall Tailgate:


-Ambiance: General atmosphere and vibe of the tailgate (10 points).

-Hospitality: Friendliness and welcoming nature of the hosts (10 points).

-Creativity: Originality and inventiveness of the setup (10 points).


b.       Most Creative:


-Innovation: Uniqueness and inventiveness of the setup and activities (10 points).

-Execution: Quality and effectiveness of creative elements (10 points).


c.       Best Polo Spirit:


-Team Support: Display of polo team colors and support (10 points).

-Polo-Themed Decor: Use of polo-related decorations and elements (10 points).

-Engagement: Participation in polo-themed activities and enthusiasm (10 points).


4. Scoring


- Each category will have a maximum of 30 points.

- Judges will score based on the criteria listed above.

- Scores from all judges will be averaged for each category to determine the winners.


5. Judging Process


- Judges will visit each registered tailgate during the specified judging period.

- Participants should be present at their tailgate during the judging period to answer any questions from the judges.

- Judging will take place over from the beginning of the match up to an including halftime.


6. Awards


- Winners in each category will be announced at the trophy presentation.

- Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category provided that there are at least 3 entrants in each category.

-Management reserves the right to combine categories and/or limit prizes.


7. General Rules


- Respect and sportsmanship are expected from all participants.

 

The focus here is on having fun, so let's have a good time at the polo match and appreciate each other's imaginative arrangements!
